One of the favorites of the models, this ethereal dress was the finale hit at my show last week. March and April are always super busy. I’m working non stop on the new collection, and our design studio is also finishing all the dresses for our Spring brides…it’s 24/7! To make it through these times, I always squeeze in a few dinners with friends, and spa treats.

Lace Bridal Dress with Long sleeves by Kelima K

I’ve been working late nights on the new collection, so posting will be sparse for a few weeks.
Meanwhile, here is a photo of a lace dress from my most recent collection, inspired by the ‘Kalevala- Land of the Heros’

this collection was inspired by women who broke the rules…unique cotton bridal dresses, tulle, and spikes...

For something unique and stylish, consider a bridal dress in cotton.

Shown here; a cotton seesrsucker dress, fully boned, with pockets,

and a cotton windowpane gauze dress.

I created strong accessories for these dresses, using tulle combined

with lace and severe metal spikes, to enhance the unique details.

Phial of Galadril silk and feather dress, Kelima K

This crisp silk wedding gown, was draped and hand sewn on a dress form, before being fitted to our model. It took 16 weeks to complete.

What may be difficult to see in the photo are the numerous hand tucks and pleats throughout the dress bodice, and along the top edge of the skirt. The feathers are also individually stitched by hand throughout this bridal dress.

Tulle sleeves wrap across the back of this wedding dress.

The name of this bridal dress, Phial of Galadril, refers to the magical crystal Lady Galadril gave to Frodo, to light the way of his dangerous journey. (Lord of the Rings)

Hand cut silk and English lace bridal dress.

I created this bridal dress for an off beat bride. The dress is lined with nude 4 ply silk, and is overlaid with transparent bronze silk, creating depth and dimension. The final layer is in bronze lace. The train and skirt are made from layers and layers of hand cut flowers and petals from the same lace.

This dress is named “Lady of the Golden Wood”, after Galadriel, a legendary, goddess like beauty. The woods in her kingdom were filled with golden Mallorn trees.
