The wedding ceremony was held at St. Pauls Chapel at Columbia University, a building designed by architect I. N. Phelps Stokes, who considered the chapel his masterpiece. This stunning bride, a medical student at Columbia University, came to me with an idea for a custom silk strapless dress, with a full high low skirt. The finished product, combining Wardrobe Therapy with Kelima K couture, is a hand made dream of a dress, with multiple layers of silk, and a structured, boned bodice. We love Kolby’s great sense of style. Note her chic, simple, jewelry accents.

It was such an enjoyable and intriguing process, working with this dream of a bride, who came to me with ideas of what she wanted for her dress. As always, we combined our signature Wardrobe Therapy with Kelima K’s design skills, to create this stunning dress.
There is something breathtaking about this unique silk dress, with yards and yards of french lace trim, as well as accents of beads and crystals.
Our only regret is that you can’t see the intricate and gorgeous details in these photos. The final dress is as beautiful as this bride, who could easily be one of our models!

Alisia and Svetlana rock the house in ethereal French chantilly lace and silk dresses from our Love Letters Collection. Hand made in our New York atelier: She will be loved by Kelima K
This silk dress is dedicated to the tender, secret, correspondence between Marie Antoinette & Axel Von Fersen. Their correspondence continued throughout the queen’s captivity, and was written in code, as well as invisible ink.
Von Fersen risked his life in a failed attempt to save the queen and her king. He also commissioned the Brunswick Manifesto, which threatened to invade Revolutionary France if the Royal Family was harmed. This document, signed by a coalition of European powers, is considered key in triggering the Revolutionary war.
